Itinerary
The daily schedule maximizes your time in Sri Lanka. It combines visits to ancient landmarks with periods of relaxation. You will experience the distinct environments of the central dry zone, the hill country, and the coastal wet zone. We structured the timeline to ensure you see the highlights without rushing.
Your guide will greet you upon arrival and transfer you to your hotel. You will take a city tour of Colombo and enjoy shopping after you settle in. You will stay overnight at the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo.
Visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Proceed to Dambulla to view the Dambulla Cave Temple. You will stay overnight at Heritance Kandalama in Dambulla.
Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Enjoy a village tour in Habarana to experience local life. You will return to Heritance Kandalama for the night.
Visit a spice garden in Matale. Proceed to Kandy for a city tour and visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Watch a cultural dance show in the evening. You will stay overnight at Earls Regency in Kandy.
Travel to the highlands. Visit a tea factory, a tea garden, and the Ramboda Waterfall en route. Proceed to Nuwara Eliya. You will stay overnight at the Grand Hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
